Cheap family rooms in hostels

Wow - go to Europe instead of the beach (again), and geography and history will come alive to the kids. But do you know what a room in, say, downtown London costs? Yikes! Yet we paid a lot less for private family rooms at hostels next to St. Paul's Cathedral, Edinburgh castle, and down the road from Stonehenge. The site above lists virtually all hostels (there are several associations), but can be short on info, like which hostels are the most kid-friendly, or have family rooms. So, find an interesting hostel, then go to their association's website (like www.yha.org) for the info. Start dreaming for next year!
