DISCOVERING THE MAIDEN GODDESS

Followers of the Wiccan path are familiar with the Maiden, Mother, and Crone triad, but what about a forth aspect of the Goddess? This page explores another archetype called the Dark Maiden, represented by the dark portion of the moon. The Maiden, referred to as the Bright Maiden, is the protector of this more sensitive Dark Maiden, and it is the Dark Maiden who keeps the Bright Maiden from becoming cold and hard. Does this suggest that there might also be a Dark Mother and a Dark Crone? Hmm...something to think about!
