Paintings by Moshe Rynecki: 1881-1943

Moshe Rynecki, born in 1881 outside of Warsaw, Poland, died in the Majdanek concentration camp 1943. His son and wife escaped this fate, found his work after the war, and carried it to their new homeland in the U.S.. His work, lush and alive, is a visual recording of life in Europe before the onset of modern industrialization. Moshe's legacy, to his family and to all of us, is an affirmation of the beautiful and joy of life in the everyday living of it.
