If you like a site with strong opinions, then The Wine Dictator is for you. As his title implies, the Dictator takes no prisoners. California Chardonnay? "Pour it down the toilet," he thunders. In his own words he is egotistical, arrogant, opinionated, and direct, but he is no snob. He can enjoy a $3 wine as much as a $300 wine, and that is "The Dictator's Edict"--to find a wine you can enjoy at a price you can afford. There is an interesting question and answer section, lots of reviews, and thoughtful essays--including how to order wine in any restaurant without embarrassment. I have been reading the Dic's site for several months now, and I do believe he is mellowing a little. So visit this attractively designed site now. If he gets a taste for California Chardonnay, it'll be too late.
