California's institutions of higher education appear on the site. The purpose of this site is to help the student meet his or her educational objectives by linking to online courses and other services offered by California's colleges and universities. Every online or technology-mediated course or program offered by participating colleges and universities appear on the site. You may search either for an individual course, or for certificate programs through to the doctoral degree. California.edu and the California Virtual University do not grant degrees or certificates, or answer individual questions about courses. The site catalog offers two search options. You can search by subject, campus or delivery method and refine your search. You may also type in a key word or phrase. California.edu provides the browser with a summary of the most important information about each course or program, costs, credits awarded, and the targeted student audience.
