OXFORD WINE COMPANION ONLINE

The single greatest source of authoritative wine knowledge is the "Oxford Companion to Wine." Editor Jancis Robinson has produced a 1000+ page encyclopędia of wine packed with information on everything wine-related: regions, grape varieties, wine law, history and science, and geography. The book is expensive, so I was surprised to see that this Australian site has placed the Companion online with free access. There is an index and a search facility. If you have a question about wine, then this is the first place to visit. This is a tremendous resource and is an essential for the favorite list of any wine enthusiast.
