CATCH TROUT IN STEALTH MODE

Site: http://www.flyfishingreview.com/flyfishing101/stealth.html

This article by Rich Lobrovich provides the basics of fly fishing and focuses on the six senses which are most helpful in catching the Wild Trout of the Sierra: sight, sound, touch, smell, taste, and intuition. Before going on a fishing expedition, Lobrovich advises you to check your equipment and use a clear or light-colored line. The right clothing and boots are also very important. Clothes must match the environment, while shiny jewelry, watches, and eyeglasses should be avoided. Avoid wearing boots with metal cleats or anything that could make noise on the stream's bottom. Trout feel sound vibrations, so walk slowly when you're on the bank and in the water. Water temperature, water flow, and food supply are other important factors to consider in determining the fish's location. Oh, and whatever you do, don't drink the water because it may contain bacteria!
