YOU CAN BE AN INSTANT NOVELIST

Though the media has lavished attention on this site's creator, the self-styled "instant novelist" Dan Hurley isn't letting it go to his head. He keeps his and his Web visitors' feet on the ground by engaging everyone in the practice of "instant writing." At the Instant Novelist site, writers can test their mettle by writing "instant" short fiction, poetry, or humor of 250 words or less for prizes (or "Amazing Points"). Topics change regularly.
