PINHOLE WIZARDS

Would you like to learn more about taking pictures using a simple box with a small pinhole on one side and film on the other? I still remember my amazement as a child when I successfully captured an image of our family dog using an old Quaker oatmeal container! This is a great site for both new and experienced pinhole enthusiasts. Using the pull-down menu, you can find the history of pinhole photography, a description of the types of images achievable by a pinhole camera, instructions for making one yourself (complete with diagrams and sketches), and finally, a discussion of the formulas and charts (focal length, aperture diameter, f-stop, exposure factor) used in pinhole photography. Then you can go back to the home page and take a look at the Main Gallery to see some impressive photos taken with pinhole cameras of various types--even one made using an old shack!
