Top » Law & Legal IssuesFRANCHISE LAW FOR FRANCHISE NOVICESSite: http://www.franchiselawteam.com/toc.htmThe other day a client asked me what precisely was the difference between a franchise proceeding and litigation. Never having done a scrap of franchise law, I went running for the Internet and turned up the website of the Franchise Law Team. This site, run by a California lawyer who has done franchise law since 1985, is beautifully designed and written. The FAQs are good, the Paranoid's Guide to the UFOC (Uniform Franchising Offering Circular, that is) clearly explains some of the less obvious reasons behind franchising requirements, and the author maintains a page of new cases and corresponding comments. A cute black cat directs the user from page to page. This site didn't answer my original question, but I'll definitely go back there if I need real help on franchise law.
