NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC PHOTO CONTEST

Welcome to the official web page of the National Geographic Society. Check out this section of the site for the results of the 1999's Photography Contest. Amataur shutterbugs submitted their snaps from around the world, and the magazine's experts selected the most compelling images for its prizes. If you feel inspired, you can prepare to submit your own chef d'oeuvre into this year's contest. Rules will be published online by the end of the May. Get your submissions ready or get out there and take pictures; the deadline is mid-August. You too could be published by National Geographic!
