It seeks to categorize, summarize, and compare over 200 religious traditions. Websites and bibliographies are provided for each tradition. Links are also provided to Internet resources for traditions not discussed within the site. Initially, the site was designed to chart the development of new religions, but it has grown to incorporate information on numerous religious traditions, both new and old, global and local. The mission statement reads: "The resources on this site are rather considerable" and it lives up to this claim. This is a terrific resource for researching and learning about religions on the Net.
