HEY, THAT GIRL CAN PLAY!

Women playing baseball is not a novelty. Since the 1800s, when the game was just taking shape, women were busy kicking up dirt and sliding into third. Professional women's leagues materialized and in turn folded over the years, the most popular being the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League of 1943 to 1954. Today, the AWBL is proof that women's baseball is alive and kicking, not only in the United States, but also internationally. Sections cover US teams, international leagues, tournaments, and girls' baseball leagues in the United States and Canada.
