THE ONE CONSTANT HAS BEEN BASEBALL...

If you're a sucker for baseball nostalgia, then this site ought to give you a pretty good fix--and a good laugh. Archived are audio clips ranging from Lou Gehrig's farewell speech to the call of Mark McGwire's 70th homer. There's also a section with baseball songs including the clunky "Joltin' Joe Dimaggio," the soapy "Talkin' Baseball" and a send-up of Lynyrd Skynyrd's "Gimme Three Steps" called "Gimme Three Strikes." There are also great clips from three of the best baseball movies ever--"Bull Durham," "Field of Dreams" and "Major League." Although there's a factual error here and there (e.g., Brooks Robinson's remarkable fielding occurred in the 1970 World Series, not in 1969) there are enough resources to keep you occupied during a rain delay.
