Want information about a specific herb? Visit Botanical.com. This site is based on the 1931 book entitled "A Modern Herbal," written by Mrs. M. Grieve. It is the best source of online information discussing single herbs I have found to date. The site supports an impressive catalogue of over 800 herbs, listing them alphabetically by their common names verses their Latin or botanical name. For each herb listed, the site provides information such as a physical description of the herb and its history, cultivation information, medicinal action and uses, and more. While the information provided may vary somewhat from herb to herb, the overall depth and breath is wonderful. The owner of the site does caution users that the information provided was originally written with the conventional wisdom of the early 1900's. Some of the information may now be considered inaccurate, or not in accordance with "modern medicine." In any case, it is a great source of herbal information.
