Top » Music: Rock & PopTHE STEVE WINWOOD AND TRAFFIC FANS' SITE SMILING PSite: http://www.azstarnet.com/~bobbieg/winwood.htmSteve Winwood first gained recognition as a member of the Spencer Davies Group, where he was the organist-vocalist-co-writer behind such monster hits as "Gimme Some Lovin'" and "I'm a Man" in the mid-sixties. Winwood then stunned the pop world by leaving the successful group to lead his own group, Traffic. While with Traffic, Winwood recorded several albums through the years including the classics "Mr. Fantasy" and "John Barleycorn Must Die." Since the first Traffic album, Winwood has had a long and interesting career as a member of the first supergroup Blind Faith, with Eric Clapton, collaborations with Stomu Yamash'ta and Klaus Schulze, and a highly successful solo career. This website is a worthy tribute to the legend. This is one every Winwood fan will bookmark. Fri, 26 May 2000 15:30:25 -0700
