THE UNNAMED HERO

Site: http://www.kabalarians.com/html/surf-by.htm

I'm sure it's happened to you. You sat down to work on your latest story. You start typing. And then it happens. You can't think of a name for your character. You try your old trick of thumbing through the phone book, but you can't find the right name. Or maybe you wanted something specific--Cherokee, Nepalese, Vietnamese--and you weren't sure what separated a Vietnamese name from anything else. Now you don't have to worry. Check out the Kabalarians' page--home to a list of more than 400,000 names. They have categories for Sikh, Yugoslavian, Ukrainian, Dutch, Kosovar, and Swahili names. Look a little farther and you'll find even more unusual fare: Choctaw, Gaelic, Arthurian, and "Creature." If you need a little inspiration for your character, just click on the name--you'll get an analysis of the personality that supposedly goes with it.
