THX'S NEW OPTIMODE DVD TEST

Here's a really cool feature that new THX-certified DVD movies from 20th Century Fox (and hopefully many more studios) will include. It's called Optimode. Basically it's a audio/video calibration feature that will be included on the DVD, and can easily be accessed via the DVD menu, just like you do for the "deleted scenes," etc. The test will allow the user to calibrate his/her home theater closer to how the filmmakers intended it to be experienced. Some calibrations include speaker sound adjustments, as well as TV color, brightness, and other TV settings. This is a great new feature that I hope catches on.
