A Museum with a Mind

The California Museum of Photography is located in Riverside, California--and conveniently on the Web. The museum is interested in showing the viewer the connection between photography and social changes. This site is refreshing, in that it is geared not only to the general audience but to artists and scholars. A section is dedicated to webworks and there's a fascinating exhibit created in virtual reality (3-D). You need a plug-in for this one, but it's worth it. Check out the museum collection and some avant-garde photographers showing you a different reality through the lens. Warped, inventive, thought provoking. My kind of museum.
