Calling all poets...got a fidgety crawfish of emotion inside which you've just got to get down on (virtual) paper? Share your words at Allpoets.com, a site for poetic newcomers and old hands alike. Budding Bukowskis, be forewarned: this is not a site for anyone completeing an MFA degree in poetry. It's a site for the rest of us: a step below Li-Young Lee, a step above Hallmark. The Allpoets site centers around the Poetry Forum, where you can publish your work and receive useful criticism. Most works published here tend toward extreme abstraction (e.g. "Such a profound emotion of wanting/Hidden beyond the banks of my quiet solitude..."), but the emotions are sincere and most commentary is supportive. Hang with fellow rhymesters in "The Poet's Place," try your talent in the poetry contest, or locate your favorite beat or canonical poet in the useful links page.
