A Not-So-Rough Draft

You would think that the official site of Major League Baseball would have complete coverage of this year's amateur baseball draft. They do. The draft, conducted from June 5 thru June 7, lasted fifty rounds. Fortunately, there there's no Mel Kiper for baseball, but with players moving to the majors faster than ever, interest has heightened in recent years. Not only are all fifty rounds available at MLB's site but you get the the full name of all 1452 players drafted. Even number 1452--Drew Jackson from Morganotown, WV. You can check to see what positions your favorite team shored up. There's video of the top 100 players or so and if you think the star of the local team might have been picked, you can look him up by name or by the state you live in. A great feature!
