IT'S MILLER TIME

The Milwaukee Brewers were supposed to be playing in a new stadium this season, but 2000 has the Brewers stuck in venerable County Stadium for one more year. A crane used for constructing the team's new home, Miller Park, collapsed last year, killing three workers and causing extensive damage while putting the project's completion a year behind schedule. Next season, however, Miller Park will open as the Brewers' new home. This site tracks the new park's history with updated information and photos on its construction. The site has a countdown feature, listing the number of days until the Brewers play a game in their new retractable-roof ballpark. Not surprisingly, the site doesn't dwell on the tragic accident but focuses on the new park's benefits to a franchise celebrating its 31st year in business.
