THESE SENATORS WERE ALL FROM WASHINGTON

Site: http://www.cjis.com/central.htm

Their motto was "First in War, First in Peace and Last in the American League." They were the Washington Senators. The nation's capital had a team for 100 years, 70 of which were in the American League as the Senators. The team left in 1960 to become the Minnesota Twins. Granted a reprieve, The Nats, as they were known, existed as an expansion team from 1961 until 1971, when they became the Texas Rangers. This site has a listing of all Senators (links are reached by clicking on a ticket stub), Senators in the Hall of Fame, photos of players, fans and the old Griffith Stadium. There's a bow to the Nats most famous manager, Ted Williams, and information on the Washington Baseball Historical Society. There's also ample links to other Senator-related sites. If you love baseball history, here's a truly informative and interesting site.
