HE'S GOT THE PRESCRIPTION!

While scouring the Web for sites to recommend here, I've often found myself staring at ads and pictures, wondering "Where's the wine?" These days, many Web designers seem content to substitute fancy graphics for meaningful content. That's why the WineDoctor site is so refreshing. Launched barely a month ago, this non-commercial site offers a cure for the "surfing blues" with its already lengthy database of tasting notes. Read about formal tastings of 1982-1990 Pomerol, a Chateau Talbot vertical, and South African reds. Or check out the growing list of wines tasted from the author's own cellar. I'm adding the site to my personal bookmarks so that I can follow the WineDoctor's new year-long quest to understand Burgundy. So click over for a dose of solid wine writing by someone who obviously enjoys and respects the beverage. This is one prescription that you'll actually enjoy taking.
