OKLAHOMA COCKFIGHTING THREATENED

Oklahoma is one of only three of our United States where cockfighting is legal. If this site's sponsor succeeds in its goal, there will be only two legal states. That doesn't mean that cockfights aren't held elsewhere in America, it means there will be one fewer state where such fights are legal. One very interesting aspect of this page I'd not seen on other anti-cockfighting sites is the link section, which presents more than one side of the story. Cockfighting is an ancient tradition and is part of our early American heritage, legal until 1836, when the first of 47 states started banning it. As a result, I've not been exposed to the pro- side of the sport. Here's my chance to learn more!
