WHO OWNS LINKING TECHNOLOGY?

The above link takes you to an article from ZDNet regarding a recent ownership claim on linking technology. But before you click on the link, you might want to send a check to British Telecom, the company that claims it patented linking technology way back in 1989. British Telecom feels it should be able to garner a fee from all users of its "intellectual property" through Internet Service Providers.
