WHAT'S THE STORY, WISHBONE?

Looking for good sites for your children to visit on the Internet? Check out World Wide Wishbone for a site that is both educational and entertaining for kids. Wishbone, of course, is the Jack Russell terrier who, on his PBS television shows, enjoys reading and imagines himself as a character in books such as "Frankenstein" or "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow." World Wide Wishbone is as educational and charming as the PBS shows and offers children a place to play games, learn about different books, learn about the Jack Russell terrier breed of dog, post messages about different books they're reading, and engage in other worthwhile activities. A complete run down of the show is also available, as is a nice map of Wishbone's hometown, Oakdale. While it may seem odd to have a dog recommend books to your children, the producers of Wishbone use the little mutt very effectively and children, or at least my child, are fascinated by the books promoted by Wishbone.
