What? You thought Idaho only produced potatoes, and not wine? Don't worry, you have plenty of company. Although Idaho had vineyards as early as 1864, their wines have never gained the attention given to their coastal neighbors. Fortunately, the Idaho Grape Growers and Wine Producers have set up a website with lots of information about the state's wine. You'll find links to the 15 wineries located in Idaho, along with a history of wine production in the state, a calendar of wine events, and even a detailed wine-touring itinerary. Plus, the site has results for Idaho wines in major competitions across the country. Surf over and become one of the few people "in the know" about this fascinating emerging wine region.
