JUST HOW OLD IS THE POLICE GAZETTE?

One way to broaden your knowledge of pugilism is to study the records and history as they exist in one of the more complete collections in America. Tucked away at Notre Dame, in the University Libraries, several important collections provide an American history of boxing dating from 1845. Different periodicals and other collections are included in individually indexed listings--although selections are not yet available on line--of the University's vast collection. The site serves as an excellent guide to the best boxing and boxing history papers, books and articles around.
