MAKING THE CATCH WITH MYLAR TUBING

Site: http://www.flyfishmags.com/archive/aamylarmar00.htm

American Angler's Art Scheck provides directions and pictures for using mylar tubing, a shiny plastic mesh with a lifelike body, for catching large fish. The tubing comes in various "fishy" colors and, as Art points out, it works on many types of baitfish. The step-by-step approach includes: sliding the mylar tubing over the end of the hook; wrapping it with red thread; securing a tippet loop; gluing the wraps; and, finally, tying the fly to the hook.
