Japanese sword making

The word "old," as we use it, is put into perspective when this town claims it has been a center of the Japanese sword making craft for 700 years. There are plenty of swords to look at here, but the main agenda item is this town's pride in its tradition and the fine craftsmen who continue to keep it alive today. While the craft is uniquely Japanese, its appreciation is worldwide, with some of the work from this town shown in the Louvre.
