TEACHING DOGS SOME NEW TRICKS

There have not been that many innovations in the training of bird pointing dogs, which makes this article really something special! The Stonelake Method, developed by Ted Uhler, describes how his method teaches the dog to bodily connect with the bird but still remain mentally attached to the hunter. The technique gives a new twist to the "training table" method of instruction and teaches the dog to "relax mentally at point."
