Picture this: you have just finished cleaning out your garage. In the various piles of rubble, you find three sets of heads, a block, and various other Chevy engine parts. A friend offers you good money for them, if you can find out what and where they are from. It has been years since you have seen these items, so how do you figure out the parts, and make some easy money? Simple. This page lists all the casting numbers of Chevy heads, blocks, and cranks. It even spells out the famous 409. Now you can tell if that small blockhead is from Grandpa's old truck, or Grandma's little red Corvette...and charge your friend accordingly. If you are in the market for used heads--since they can be cheaper than rebuilding the ones you have--print the pages, and bring them to the junkyard with you.
