Top » Computer: Web & InternetOncoTypeSite: http://www.oncotype.dk/An incredible website.... I don''t often review sites just for their design, but this is an exception. With the advent of newer browsers, DHTML, and advanced JavaScript we've yet to see some of the incredible things that can be created with the combination of code and script. If this website is a small taste of what''s to come, I can''t wait for the future of websites to come. Oncotype uses what they call "draggable navigation". They've designed a very small interface window for navigation, that can be dragged anywhere in the brower window while surfing their site. It uses very tiny mouseovers that coordinate with text in the browser status bar, making navigation a breeze. The graphics load like lightning, and are very artsy and cutting edge. I can't begin to explain how brilliantly their "interactive film" page works. You must see it for yourself. The whole site is clean and sharp as a razor. The code that is used for their "draggable navigation" is available through their "open knowledge" theory. It's is totally free and available for download in an open source endeavor similar to that of the current Linux trends. The entire source code was developed using PHP3 scripting language in such a way that only DHTML code is visible to the end user. Take a peek for yourself... Tue, 16 Nov 1999 13:35:03 -0800
