SURREAL TV--TIES THAT BIND

Reality TV just got surreal. It's one thing surviving being marooned on an island or housemates from hell, but try and imagine this: you're either male or female, and you've been literally handcuffed to four members of the opposite sex for an entire working week. The only time you can remove the cuffs is when you need to shower (damn) or pee (phew). Welcome to Chains of Love, NBC's belated entry into reality TV. The aim: to survive each other, or risk being cast aside in favor of the preferred partner. And, oh yes--to have millions of viewers chained to their TV set.
