PREVENTATIVE MASTECTOMY

I could not imagine wanting to have a complete mastectomy if I medically did not have to. But to women who have seen their mothers, sisters, and aunts suffer and/or die from breast cancer, the decision may be easier. Many women today are choosing prophylactic mastectomy, or preventative masectomy, as a way to prevent future breast cancer. Although this procedure is not 100% effective, it's a beginning in the fight with breast cancer. This site for breast cancer is informative and has many links to help find the resources and support women need to become more educated on breast cancer. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Help educate the women of American and learn all you can!
