If the family geneaology bug has bitten you (and it has bitten me in a big way), then you are looking for the best value for your hard-earned money. After you have done the legwork of gathering all your family background data, you will want to input, organize and compile all that hard-won info into something you can use. Data entry in Legacy is almost painless. The final results can be seen in either Family or Pedigree view, and the program can use this information to create literally dozens of reports. These include the typical ancestor and descendant charts, as well as relationship diagrams, time lines, surname summaries, census forms, and family history books (complete with tables of contents and indexes).
