Most people are aware of the fact that the familiar names of many celebrities are not their real names. The website "Stagenames" lists stars that have changed the names that appear on their birth certificates, and in some cases, the real names aren't so bad. Bo Derek's real name is Mary Cathleen Collins. Now what's wrong with that? Granted, it's not as snappy as Bo, but Mary Cathleen sounds okay. And Huey Lewis's real name is Hugh Cregg; he could've just been known as Huey Cregg. Others though, I can see why they might want an alias. Doris Day's real name is Doris von Kappelhoff. Tom Cruise's real name of Thomas Mapother IV isn't so catchy, either. I think fans will get a real kick out of "Stagenames." They also may find that their own names aren't so bad after all!
