An Antique Chinese Porcelain Resource

Jan-Erik Nilsson has created an amazing resource for antique Chinese (and Japanese) porcelain collectors at www.gotheborg.com. The first page contains a letter from Nilsson, explaining that there are more than 430 pages of information on the site currently. Nilsson notes too that the very useful and comprehensive Questions and Answers section is added to almost daily. Be sure to take time to notice Nilsson's photographs of trips to China and to visit the section entitled simply "Marks." Divided into eight different categories (including: Ming marks, Qing marks, Chinese 20th centry, and Japanese 20th century), I learned more about the subject of Chinese porcelain marks from my brief visit there than I had from any book. I highly recommend a visit to this beautiful and educational site!
