Microsoft shares rise 6% on bullish outlook

The Financial times reports on Microsoft's increased stock price and earings, and how those earnings exceeded analysts' expectations. What they don't mention is that the ever- increasing earnings probably lend support to the DOJ premise that Microsoft behaves and prices like a monopolist, with excessively high margins. The article reports that the net income for the first fiscal quarter rose 28% in comparison with the same period one year ago. Who wouldn't want to have business like that?
