U.S. trade deficit narrowed

This is the first time in four months that the trade deficit narrowed. This result is more optimistic than what economists predicted. The news would have been even better, however, if not for a rise of imports from China and Mexico. Economists and politicians are putting pressure on China to facilitate the establishment of American companies in the Chinese market to help even out the flow of trade. In addition, the Commerce Department annouced that the U.S. trade deficit would rise again in the next months. Matthieu Negre
