A real space race

Robert Winglee and crew are in a race to the edge of the solar system. The University of Washington scientists received a 2-year grant from NASA's Institute for Advanced Concepts to develop their space propulsion concept. This article will be demanding for the layperson but there are some beautiful, full-color graphics to admire, and, of course, the research itself should set your imagination on fire.
