Numbering system Changes in the UK

The UK, as you may already be aware, is undergoing a massive national telephone number code change to allow for the expansion of communications. This website explains fully which code (00 - 09) is allocated to which service. The website is very informative, even giving a freephone number (0808 22 4 2000), which is also the date on which the changes are to be completed (22 April 2000).
