Buy "shares" in U.S. political candidates

Site: http://www.biz.uiowa.edu/iem/markets/index.html#US

The U.S. stock market and U.S. political campaign surveys--both dominate the news with reports of head-spinning gyrations. Who's on top? Who's taking a dive? Now you can combine your interest in elections and equities with Iowa Electronic Markets. Run by the University of Iowa's College of Business, this site creates a "real-money futures market where contract payoffs" will be determined by the outcome of several U.S. elections in the next year. Anyone can join in "wagering" (sans real money) on the outcome of the Congressional elections, Democratic and GOP National Conventions, and New York State Senate race. Be forewarned, however: this site's not for newbies. You'll need to know your way around your computer (no virtual hand-holding here) and sophisticated stock-market lingo before joining in the fun.
