Athlon prices reduced up to 18 percent

AMD decided to reduce prices on its latest processors in response to Intel's price cut. The AMD Athlon chip will now be more affordable than Pentium III's. The great reduction is on Athlon 700MHz, dropping from $849 to $699, while the 600MHz version is reduced from $449 to $419. The competition between the two rivals will continue for a long time, making it good news for consumers, who will benefit from a better quality and cheaper chip.
