Parrot Slaughter in Bolivia

This is not a pleasant site--it informs us about a sad and grusome reality. Birds are being killed so their feathers and "parts" can be used for decoration. This ornamentation is not part of an ages-old cultural tradition by indigenous people, but rather, it is part of Carnival and the hedonistic tourist trap. Most of the birds involved are endangered, and there is now a call for action. You have an opportunity to make a statement that this practice is one you think the world would be better off without.
