POP-i's home page is eye-catching, the text is trendy, and the "contents" in the middle of the page briefly describes what POP-i is all about. Here are "reviews of recent album releases, interviews with musicians, and other music-related pablum to numb your mind." "Reviews" brings up a nice page with links for the latest albums from David Byrne, Indigo Girls, and Depeche Mode, among others. You can check out reviews for Cake Like and Pie, but this POP-i has no Spinach. In the "Reader Reviews" area, you can check out what other readers have to say about the album, and submit your own response as well. The "Interviews" page featured filmaker Jim Jarmusch, whose latest film is a "rockumentary" of Neil Young and Crazy Horse. "Most Irritating Sound Of The Week" displayed a link to a RealAudio clip of something possibly called "Yucatan." POP-i is a fun site with a nice layout and interesting interviews and opinions, although they may suffer from trying a little too hard to be cool. Check it out.
