Tuckamore Wilderness Lodge & Outfitters is offering a special program this August called "Women and the Outdoors." It's designed to teach techniques of wilderness survival, fishing, and kayaking to women. The lodge itself offers first-class Scandinavian-style accommodations and family-style cooking, with spacious rooms, sauna, and hot tub. It's a place where you can gather mussels and clams, dine on fresh-caught crab and lobster, watch for many different kinds of whales, and enjoy the Northern Lights dancing across the summer sky. Of course, they offer packages for men and families also.
