Now that we all know for sure that RealJukebox can keep tabs on the music files we listen to without our consent, can anyone really claim to be that surprised? It's exactly the kind of disappointing surveillance tactic that many people have grown to expect as the century winds down to its hypermarketed finale. That noise you hear is one more nail being hammered into "online privacy's" oxymoronic coffin. Naturally, the more popular mp3 downloads become, the more profit marketeers stand to make from data collection in any form.
