Here's an interesting tool from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission: a program you can download for free (your tax dollars at work!) that will help you "to easily estimate and compare the costs of owning mutual funds." The page links to an FAQ sheet that answers common questions such as compatability issues and where investors can go to learn more about mutual funds in general.
